Editorial policy
What we publish
Production and cask influence, sensory analysis and tasting methodology, sherry and fortified-wine education, blend anatomy, category explainers, community tasting reports. Every release we cover gets context: what it is, why it matters and how to...
What we do not publish
Prices, purchase links, consumer promotions, or anything that encourages consumption. We do not publish paid promotion for alcoholic beverages. Coverage is editorial, independent and labelled as such. We honour embargoes without exception and disclose samples, invitations and partnerships in the piece.
Dunnage House: a closed membership community for whisky culture
Dunnage House is not a tasting club. It is a curated, closed community for people who take the culture, history and craft of distilling seriously, and who want a place to talk about it every day, not once a month. It opened on 1 September 2026 with a founding cohort; membership is by invitation, in limited intakes, with a waitlist in between.
About Dunnage House
How it works
- A members-only space on mobile app and web, built around two rooms: Viski Masası, for whisky only, and Dunnage Lounge, for everything around it.
- Weekly educational content, live sessions with guests, and challenges that train the palate step by step.
- A monthly theme calendar (recent themes: whisky festivals, sensory analysis, sherry, food pairing) and a event programme.
- Monthly in-person gatherings in Istanbul and seasonal experiential events.
- HepsiViski's Foundation course is included in membership, so every member shares the same tasting vocabulary.
Who writes
Gökhan Gökalan, founder and editor
Whisky educator based in Istanbul, with 15+ years as an entrepreneur before turning a long obsession with sensory analysis into HepsiViski.
Background: Single Malt Whisky Diploma, Edinburgh Whisky Academy · Certified Sherry Wine Specialist, Wine Scholar Guild · Executive Bourbon Steward, Stave & Thief Society · Distillation training, CIBD.
Focus: sensory science, cask maturation and the role of sherry in whisky.

Dunnage House
